I can explain it to you

There’s a town named after a road
it used to be a podunk hole
but now it’s a bustling intersection
½ way to Hell & ½ way to Heaven
you’re never too near or too far
when you’re in the Big B.R.

There’s 7 liquor stores in Bryans Road
no, I never really had a chance
who am I trying to kid?
it truly was a blast!

From Fenwick to Marshall Hall
we hunched down & we stood tall
and now we’re scattered to the wind
never gonna ever be together again
like we were on that fateful day
the Fuzz crashed the woods behind Safeway

Down in the Kabin on the Korner
was where we met our match
we won the Battle of River Road
but we knew it could not last

Meanwhile, in Strawberry Hills
we mowed our yards & we paid our bills
and we voted for Carter or Ford
and we ate our pride till we could eat no more
there’s only so much you can do
when there ain’t nothin’ left to chew
