A tasty smörgåsbord of words

Sweet & spicy slices of everyday drama & quirkiness

A whimsical, portly character with a round head, no nose, large round eyes with a single coiled line inside each, mouth is a perfect circle with a continuous lip, four rounded teeth at the top of the open mouth, tongue aquiver, tonsils visible, arched eyebrows, worry sweat drops above the head, holding his ears and screaming with less of the ears visible, set in an illustrated outdoor background (like a park or garden).

Voices & Visions

a slightly older man with no beard, sitting on earth (in space), same pose as previous image, holding up a large compass on a chain (compass dangles a little), a short balloon string ties a balloon to him (not in his hand), a party hat cocked at a dramatic angle on his head, a glowing halo under the earth, glow above/behind earth, clouds only around earth but not floating in space, some stars visible through the glow

Burgess sits facing forward on dystopian library steps, looking very sad. Surrounding him are piles of books, open and closed. He reads a book titled 'To Serve Man', with the title visible. He has a mustache (no beard) and is wearing glasses with both lenses badly cracked but intact—not exploding, no shards. The cracked lenses are clearly rendered. Background shows remnants of a ruined library structure, but no other buildings. The style is illustrative, not realistic. The composition should make his sadness and broken glasses very obvious.
