Dearest little one, joyously
thine growth do I behold
and oft’ your merry laughter, prancing
cartwheels ‘cross my soul

Nightly through this starry sky
a magic carpet we have flown
until our flight’s aborted by
the morning buzzers’ drone

it’s just manifest destiny
what is was meant to be

justice shall prevail
it’s not quite that simple
